    Gmail/SevenForums Login

I had my rig tore down yesterday, and when I got it back up, and tried logging into both this forum and my GMail account, they wouldn't accept my username and password. I got that corrected here on the forum, by getting a password reset, but when trying the same on GMail, it doesn't work. I'm not positive, because they asterisk out most of the email address that they are sending it to, but counting the stars, it appears that there is a character left out, and it never gets to my ISP account. I have looked for a means to direct it to another account, but haven't had any luck.

My client is still receiving GMail, but due to the coincidence of two similar problems at the same time, I'm concerned that someone else may be using my email account. Is there any solution(s) that I haven't thought about?

    Hi! seekermeister,

I do not know what browser you are using, but it might help if you clear any saved passwords for Gmail, and then try to log-in.
Not sure if windows would have an affect on this, but you might even have to clear it from multiple browsers if you use more than one.

Worst case I can think of would be having to recreate your OS user account, but being able to log-in here at 7F kind of eliminates that.

As far as your concern about your account being compromised, fifth paragraph down:
I think my account is compromised

Do you know how to check for activity? Details are listed at the bottom of your Inbox.
I know, you will have to wait until you can log-in again before you can check it.

Is the keyboard layout correct? With some layouts, such as UK and US English, the positions of some characters change.

I guess so, because everything seems to type as expected.

I tried both with the same result. I'm fairly sure that the reason for this is because the alternate email address that I have on record with them is not accurate, therefore I'm not receiving the email to reset the password.

EDIT: It is a shame that they don't just send me the password reset via my GMail account, since I'm still receiving from it via my client.

Does your password include " and/or @, for example. These keys are swapped between the 2 English layouts.

This, along with another problem that I had in the recent past, has me thinking about find another email service. I've been looking at Opera's Fast Mail, but while I found most of the specs for the service options, but nothing regarding the size limitation of an individual email. Does anyone happen to know what it is?

There seems to be three pricing levels besides a free 'Guest Account'.
