Hi Robin... I"m using WLM 2012, have been since it came out.
that might actually be your problem. it turns out that WLM2012 is a bit flacky
You cannot send out a group catagory, you can make it, it shows all your contacts but you cannot send it out.Microsoft is aware of this problem, also what I have seen on the WLM Micrososft forum others are having other problems also
You can try going here and see if you can ask our question or you might actually find your answer

    Hi greyspirit35,

    Thank you for the reply.
As pointed by 'robinb9', it could be an issue with the newer version of 'Windows Live Mail 12'.

You may also try the following steps to see if they help:
    1. Try a new 'User Account': Please create a new 'User Account' and check how the emails work with 'Windows Live Mail'. To create a new account, please refer to this tutorial: User Account - Create

    2. Check for any pending updates (Windows Live related). Also check the 'Windows Update History' to see if any 'related updates' failed to install: Windows Update - View Update History Details

    3. Check if the problem is at the 'Server end': You may try creating another email (for testing purposes) with a different 'Email Service Provider' (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) and check results.

Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings.

Hmmm, this thread is marked solved, but is it?

MS iterations of mail have always had a few limitatins, most notably with indexing. The easiest way to see if this is causing the problem is to move mail out of the inbox.

Create a folder named Rcvd un the Storgage Folders (do this in WEmail 2012, not in Explorer)
Navigate to your inbox and select all (Ctl + A)
Right Click the selected msgs and select move
specify Rcvd as the destination folder

    Close WEmail 2012 relaunch it.

How do you connect to your provider, POP3 or IMAP?

    Try these two things:

[1] move your email store folder to a new folder on the C: drive (e.g. 'email')

[2] move your Temporary Internet Files folder to a new folder on the C: drive (e.g. 'temp')

Then delete anything in the Temporary Internet Files folder's subfolder 'Content.IE5'. You may need to unhide dfiles and folders to see these.
