Windows 7: I have a configuration error that is preventing me from printing.

Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit
I have a configuration error that is preventing me from printing.

I have previously been able to print an email in Windows Live Mail. I can print Internet pages and saved documents. Brother Printer support suggested I have a configuration error.

Any suggestions?

If you can still print from other applications but not Live Mail then it sounds like something's wrong with Live Mail accessing the printer. Maybe a re-installation of Live Mail is necessary.
My guess is if you provide more info on what exactly it is that keeps you from printing you'll get more feedback here.
Is there an error message? Or any other info to go by?
A print option dialog screen with a number of installed printers etc?

I am receiving no error messages and have confirmed that Windows Live Mail is recognizing my printer.

I select an email to print then either right click and select 'print' or go to the top drop down and select 'print'. A dialog page appears showing my printer and I click on 'print'. Nothing happens.

I have repaired Windows Live Essentials 2011 from the control panel and restarted my computer - no change.

Seems like this is a common problem with no ready answers. I went here and located this:

Hm... I have no further ideas.
There's an event log where Windows prints things it is unhappy with:
Right Click on Computer > manage > Event Log > Application OR System

Another debugging option consists of doing a "clean" reboot. Restarting Windows
with minimal services and startups. But you need, of course, all necessary
printer services and the printer spooler service. The command is called msconfig
The purpose of that would be to isolate a SW running on the system that might
cause that effect and take things from there.
I am not sure if that's maybe a bit going too far. It's gonna get time consuming.
