Outlook 2007 working great had a power failure getting this message

I get the following error message with outlook 2007 using window 7 system

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot Open the OUtlook window. The set of folders cannot be openned. The file C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not a personal folder file.

The program was working fine and had a power failure with the laptop battery and now getting this error have tired the outlook scan tool and it does find the file.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Can you find the PST file using Windows (file) Explorer? If so, then you need to point the Scanpst tool to that location using the Browse... button. How to use the Inbox Repair tool to recover email messages in Outlook
