    windows live mail 2012 issue

    Hello,

In windows live mail 2012 as is other mail programs I have a calendar. Whether or not I am logged in or not how do I incorporate a .ics file into this calendar? I read somewhere that wlm2012 will not allow this but I am not sure. What's the definitive answer. Thanks Vince

    Hi vinman,

You may import an 'ICS file' with 'Windows Live Mail' only with 'Windows Live Calendar' on the web. To import it, open Sign In > Sign in with the same 'Live ID' that you use to sign in 'Windows Live Mail' > Import the 'ICS file' on the web (Your online calendars will automatically sync with your Windows Live Mail calendars).

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions.

    Hello Saurabh

I do not have a hotmail account. I receive my mail through my ISP but I did go online with my windows live mail ID. Is windows live calendar a seperate function from windows live mail. Secondly I could not find anything that relates to importing an .ics file or any file for that matter. Could you be more specific. Thanks vince

    Hi vinman,

    Thank you for the response.

Glad that you were able to figure out the way to import the 'ICS file'. As you stated correctly, it is a separate function that allows you to upload & synchronize the 'ICS file' data on the web; and then becomes usable with 'Windows Live Mail'.

Do reply if you have any further questions; would be glad to assist.
