Need to change back to Internet Explorer 9 from version 10!

    Hello Everyone,

I recently updated to Internet Explorer 10, however the corporate banking software that I use only supports up to Internet Explorer 9 (and no browsers other than Internet Explorer are supported!).

I now need to revert back to Internet Explorer 9, and in an attempt to do this I performed the following -

    1). Clicked on Computer
2). Clicked on Uninstall or Change a Program
3). Clicked on Turn a Windows feature on or off
4). Unticked the box next to Internet Explorer 10
    5). Clicked on OK
6). Rebooted the computer when prompted

When my computer started up again I expected to see that Internet Explorer 9 was running again. However instead Internet Explorer simply isn't available.

If anybody can offer advice on how to restore Internet Explorer 9 it will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo

    See if this post helps:
    Internet Explorer 9 - Uninstall

Edit: I should say that the post deals with going from IE10 to IE9 to IE8 in about 3 minutes

Start Control Panel Programs and Features
In the upper left panel side click on View installed Updates

Right click on Internet Explorer 10 to uninstall it.

    ReBoot computer when finished uninstalling

You are welcome - it sounds like you got it fixed. If so, please mark this thread as solved so that search engines will index is as such.

Was this move back to IE9 precautionary or did you encounter problems with the banking software and IE10. If you had problems, did moving back to IE9 solve things. Can you tell if the problems were related to a plug in. (Just gathering data points before moving my main system to IE10.)
