Windows 7: Internet Explorer 10 and automatic cookies delete

My Norton Internet security "quick scan" is scheduled to run every seven days and delete tracking cookies! I managed to disable it.

I figured it was a Norton issue.

Windows 7 Prof 32 Bit

Hi There

I'm running Windows 7 Prof 32 bit with Norton 360 v and since IE 10 was installed, am having the same problem with cookies being deleted that never were previously; especially my Financial Institute cookies. Every time I run a scan (either Quick or Full System) and N360 deletes cookies I lose the info that the banks need to see my home computer as 'registered'. Nothing in Norton has changed. Doesn't seem to matter how often I run scans, this has ONLY started happening with the install of IE 10.
This problem isn't what I'd call 'major', but it is becoming a pain. I think it's just about time to roll back to IE 9 unless someone, somewhere can come up with a solution.

Internet Explorer has cookies, but I never use IE.
Each time I do a malware or anti-virus scan, I see the scan go to C:/Windows/Users/AppData/Local/Cookies/IE And there are lots of files after that. I never use IE. Either Mozilla or Chrome. How is it that I have cookies in IE? Also, is there a way to delete IE from the PC? Thank you.
