    ie8 “cannot display the webpage”

    ie8 “cannot display the webpage”
    OS is Windows 7 Ultimate
Use ie8 w/ Google as my Homepage. When I click the ie8 icon I always get my Homepage.
If I put a valid address in the address bar it usually goes to “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”, or a Google Search Results page w/ links/options to get that site. When I click on 1 of the links for the site I usually get “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”. When I click the Diagnosis option there is no solution.
Also, if I log into an email account I usually get the “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” page.
Sometimes when I do get a webpage it is “Helter-Skelter” w/ text & pictures overlapping.
I had my internet totally checked including a Tech coming out - passed w/ flying colors.

    Have you attempted Reset ?
Internet options/ Advanced section/ Reset button on the bottom,
Check the box to Delete personal setting and use the recommended setup and install settings.
