Sorry, I don't have a solution but am posting to let people know that I have the exact same problem -- page totally blank but link shows up in address bar along with Youtube favicon. I'm using Chrome. Refreshing or pressing Go button (=pressing Enter after clicking the address bar field already having the url) doesn't work. The only workaround I have found is to open up a page having that particular video link (for instance, youtube search results) and then clicking on it. No problem with FF though and I don't know about IE, I never touch it.

Hello guys, can you confirm methodology? You go to main Youtube page YouTube and it displays ok? You then type a search term in the search box and a list of results page opens and it appears ok? You then try to watch one of the search results and get a blank page? Not a black windows where the video would appear, but a blank white page? Is this correct? This is only certain videos, and repeatable on those videos?

Are you part of the HTML5 trial? If so, try opting out

    YouTube

I would try the site in Safe Mode with Networking and see if the same behavior exists

    Safe Mode

If problem does not exists in safe mode, I would try a clean start to see if there is a conflict

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

If problem exists in safe mode as well, what version of Flash are you running? Did the problem occur after updating flash? Windows updates?

    Have you:
    • Used Incognito mode in Google Chrome?
Disabled all extensions and found out the one that was causing it?
Deleted the browsing history, cookies, etc?

You may need to uninstall and reinstall Chrome/IE, but I don't think so.

I had something sorta similar, but not with YouTube. The issue was that images would turn grey and not load.
I had an extension that would turn the scrollbars into the ones you see in iOS, and that seemed to be causing the trouble. I have no clue why, but it fixed it.

And, just to check, you are running Chrome v26.0.1410.64 and IE 10 correct?

there are some solution based on my exp:
    1) try Firefox or Opera
    2) get a up-to-date flash
    3) reset your modem
    4) contact your internet provider
    5) reinstall win 7
