What differences are there between Windows mail and Windows live mail?

    Hi everyone
When I installed a cean install of a windows, I found 'Widnows mail' in this path
    D:\Users\Salim\AppData\Local\Microsoft

I have typed 'Windows mail' in the search text, but I didn't find any porgram.
So this is for what. And what is the differenc between it and Windows live mail which come with Windows live essentials?

Are the folder highlighted above and all inside it for this program whose interface below?

Windows live essentials 2011 was replaced by Windows essentials 2012,
    The "Live" has been dropped.
Search your programs list for the updated version.

    Thanks a lot,

I wasn't asking about Windows live Essentials 2011 nor 2012.

I know the WLE. Also, I have neither installed Windows live essentials 2011, nor Windows essentials 2012 yet

I only installed a clean install of Windows 7 home premium. Then I checked the path below, I found 'Windows mail' in this path
    D:\Users\Salim\AppData\Local\Microsoft

I have typed 'Windows mail' in the search text, but I didn't find any program.
So this is for what. And what is the difference between it and Windows live mail which come with Windows live essentials?

IS 'Windows mail' whose folder is shown the above screenshot?
    I hope you understand me.

Please don't get snippy with those who are trying to help.

Now I will try to answer your question.
My understanding Windows mail are things that are stored on your computer. I have many. Windows Live Mail is your email service which is in a cloud.

When I search Windows Mail I have 108 files containing Windows Live Mail and Windows Mail that have built up over time. If you installed Windows Live Mail now Outlook the files will grow.

I am really very sorry. But I really didn't intend anything, except clarifying my question.
I really would highly appreciate all your help at this splendid forum.

w7 has no native mail program with it. If you do have you installed with an update unknowingly. I have a Windows Live folder in the same location but it includes only internet shortcuts to download WLM.

Which mail service do you use Britton30?
I'm just curious. I'm wondering if one uses a 3rd party email service if the Windows Mail folder gets any bigger.
