Open an elevated command prompt .

Click on the button type in CMD inside Search programs and files . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) and choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command prompt opens to path C:\Windows\System32>_

Type the command below and press <ENTER>

Shouldn't be locks on those folders .

    Let's try this

    takeown /f "C:\Users\Ferreria Family\Downloads" /r /d y
    press Enter

    Then type

    icacls "C:\Users\Ferreria Family\Downloads" /grant Administrators:F /T

after the first command, I get the same error... ERROR: The system cannot find the path specified.
Is there supposed to be a space between the /r & /d & y? that's what I did and still coming up with the same error.

Take a look at the link below . It has a registry hack that will add Take Ownership in the context menu when you right click on a folder or file

    Take Ownership Shortcut

Once you have merged the reg file right click on each folder inside C:\Users\Ferreria Family and choose TakeOwnership . A command prompt will pop up with text scrolling down let it finish the command prompt will disappear on its own .
