    Need help bad

I am running Windows 7 with the following browser's: Internet Explorer 10, Firefox 20, and Opera. I started using a proxy - vpn called hotspot shield and then i decided to un-install the software. But now when-ever i try to get online using either Internet Explorer or Opera i get the following message:

Could not connect to proxy server. Access Denied.

    Could someone help me, please.

You could open network and sharing - setup a new connection - ....
There may be traces of the VPN software also so you could run Revo uninstaller to remove them.
There is a free trial here http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_..._download.html

DavidW7ncus has a better suggestion, I would try that first!

Do you have a restore point from before you installed the vpn?
If you do, try doing a System Restore

I was able to resolve the problem by going to: Control Panel => Internet Options => then i pressed the LAN Settings button. I unchecked everything then pressed OK twice and finally restarted the computer. Thanks for the replies though.
