    this question is about firefox

Every time I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop (os Win7 home 32bit) and it opens. Firefox opens with 2 tab's. The 1st one is the normal tab that I have set to my home page. The 2nd tab is the Add-ons Manager tab. When Firefox opens it should only have the 1 tab open to my default home page. Why does the Add-ons Manager tab keep poping up when I didn't call for it?

    Hello Reble,

I remember having this exact problem a while ago, here's what I did to fix it:

Go to the folder you installed FF in (mostly it's C:\Program Files\Mozilla FireFox), and look for files that were recently modified.
Good chance that it's a file called nppdf32.ddl, so try looking for that one.
If you found the file, simply move it to your desktop (Cut it, don't copy, and don't delete it!) and restart your computer.
If everything is correct FF should automatically recreate that file and when you open FF you should get just one tab.

If it doesn't work, simply place the file back in the FF folder, restart your computer and report back here.

You might also want to check this page if my fix doesn't work for you.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I went and looked at "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/stop-firefox-opening-multiple-tabs-when-it-starts" and found an extra add on to the home page string in options. Thanks for the info.

    Glad I could have helped:)
Is your problem solved, or are you still experiencing double tabs when opening FF?
