This is weird, is there a fix?

    Using Windows 7-64bit.

I am really puzzled by this. I like Apple's iCloud but get a weird graphic error. Note the distorted today's date above "Calendar" when using any version of Firefox (v22 installed) but not on IE 10.

    Using Firefox v22

    Using IE 10.

I would default to IE 10 but it crashes frequently for no good reason, so FF it is.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both Java and Firefox but no difference.

To add to this I don't have this issue using FF on my HP laptop. Both are Windows 7-64bit.

Any ideas because I don't have a clue?

Sorry can't help with Firefox but for a crashing ie10,
Also Use No Add-ons mode/ Click Start and type in the search box,
Internet explorer/ click on the suggestion or it’s located at,
Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder/ System tools folder.

Thanks! If I could use IE 10 I would as it is said to be the most secure browser.

I went through your suggestions but still have issues with IE10. Other that the iCloud glitch, FF v22 opens these same sites without issues whereas IE 10 crashes when simply typing in a zip code for a Weather Channel search. Debugging says there's a Java error but Java is completely updated &, like I said, no issue doing the same thing with FF v22.

Maybe I didn't follow the instructions properly. I'll keep digging but need some ideas.

    It's a rendering problem.
Different browsers handle web pages and apps differently. It used to be a lot worse "back in the day" but web developers/designers are gravitating towards more uniform standards when they design their sites/pages.
That particular section "Calendar" may have some code that FF can't digest.

See if this tip will help rais's tip. Everybody's different and I set mine to -2.0 you just have to experiment to see what suits you.
You may have to also adjust the browser's view settings if you use anything like NoSquint.

Check the other responders at rais's tip and here for more insight: Firefox 22 changed browser screen resolution?

Just saw your recent response, my advice is to completely remove Java. You will be pleasantly surprised at how little you do not need it, besides it is a constant security risk.

If you do find you do need it for certain sites or gaming you can always re-install it. It could even be a reason for your rendering problem, and if you need it for the iCloud it may help to have a clean slate. Don't forget, it is okay to run javascript, it is entirely different from java.

    How to remove Java
JavaRa is an effective way to deploy, update and remove the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Its most significant feature is the JRE Removal tool; which forcibly deletes files, directories and registry keys associated with the JRE. This can assist in repairing or removing Java when other methods fail.

    For the IE10 problem, try:
Checking in Tools >Internet Options >Advanced Tab >Accelerated Graphics, if "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" is checked, uncheck it.

    Then scroll down to Security:
If "Do not Save encrypted pages to disk" is checked, uncheck it.

Re-start IE10, see if that helps

I would agree with the assertion most people do not need Java, Gamers might disagree ?
Since Firefox came on your machine second..
I would start out fresh with ie10 and totally reset it/ delete personal settings and accept the recommended install.
Uninstall Java it usually does not auto date well anyway/ same goes for Flash player..
Post any interesting browser add-ons you use as well as Security suites.

rais's tips fixed Firefox. Now to get to work on IE10.

Edit: I changed setting from -1.0 to 1.0 but found it too small. Tried 1.2 & looked good + iCloud worked OK. Later I went to iCloud & it was back the way it was??? Tried 1.1 setting & so far OK.

None of the IE 10 suggestions helped.

Activate Enhanced protection mode then test the issue,

This is all very frustrating. Here's where I'm at:

I have completely uninstalled Firefox. Now on to IE10. If I open the Weather Channel site & type in a zip code IE crashes but will open to that cities weather info after closing all the errors. When opening iCloud the site wants to install an Apple add-on. Once "install" is selected IE 10 crashes but offers this:

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Temp\WER7BF2.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
    C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Temp\WER90DA.tmp.appcompat.txt
    C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Temp\WER90FA.tmp.mdmp

    to describe the issue.
