    jumping pages

Why do my pages keep jumping, it doesn't' matter what website I go on. Google Amazon /I/e.
sky, I go on my Sky emails and when the page opens up it moves down after a couple of secs'
then to the right. Only a mm, but if you are to quick you miss the tab you want. I have to wait until
it settles down before I can carry on.

    any ideas 'why.

I would try another browser and see if it does it also. If you don't want to install something just for the test you can use a portable such as Firefox portable. Typically web sites have code for if it's IE and if it's not to handle IE quirks. If FF doesn't "jump" then it's likely an IE quirk.

I could also be after the original page loads it is adding things like adds and the page is jumping around loading these things.

Is it possible you are using an unusual screen resolution? Many web sites make certain assumptions about the range of vert. and horiz. pixels likely to be used by the reader.

    • Do you use a mouse or touchpad?
    • Can you check the sensitivity of either?
    • If it is a touchpad it could be worn, how old is it, does it get a lot of use?
    • Can you try an external mouse to see if it still jumps around?
    • There may be some advanced features that need looked at like scrolling. ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Troubleshooting Touchpad
    • If it is an optical mouse check for dirt/hair around the light, you could take it apart to check for dirt inside.
    • What kind of mouse pad do you use?
