Google menu at top of page

I have Google set as my homepage. There was always a menu bar at the top for news, images, etc. The last couple of days it hasn't been there. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yup. The Apps button on the top right hand side of the screen. Looks like a 3x3 cube of tiny black squares.
