IE11 and Back navigation is it OK in W7

    Hi there
I haven't got my W7 system available but can someone try and see if the error I get on W8.1 with the back button after a google search just displays a blank screen happens with IE11 on W7. T My error is with the TechNet W8.1 RTM version -- NOT the preview. X-64 version.

Here's the post on the W8 Forum

Would like to know if it's a IE11 issue (general) or whether just specific to W8.1

IE11 X-64 RTM Back Navigation not working properly

    Cheers

If your Google search settings have the open in a new window box ticked that might happen....At least mine does.....

    @ Jimbo

Running IE 11 RP here. I have to hit the back button twice to get back to the Google search results. This didn't happen with IE 11 Beta and IE 10.

    Hi there
a Get around is to press the back button twice as you pointed out - but it is a bit irritating -- this happens on GOOGLE searches - some other web sites like BBC seem to be OK.

When you right click the backwards button what is the address that's in the way ?
You can try to add this address to your Restricted sites list ?
    Another test,
    Use Alt+TD or Ctrl+Shift+Delete
Uncheck the top box and Delete/ Uncheck Cookies or what ever else you don't want delete.

    Hi there
This is what happens to me on Windows 8.1 with IE11 -- not sure with W7 -- I haven't currently got access to my W7 at the moment.

Example I'm using is say just google search something like GODZILLA

After going to the link just press the Back arrow and you'll see a blank screen
press BACK again and it will get you back to the search query.

Shouldn't work like this --not a mega problem but it "looks sloppy" and it is a change from how it worked before.

It only happens on selected sites -- Google is the one I most notice -- for obvious reasons --I think we all use google loads of times a day.

    Cheers

I got IE 11 installed on a Windows 7 in VMware and I used the same search term GODZILLA went to the same page and then click once on the back button and it went back to the Google search page so maybe it is just a 8.1 problem.
