I thought I would create a tab on igHome's Dash Board so that with one click I could go to a page filled with custom widgets about topics on Windows Seven Forums. I found out there is a much easier way to derive the same benefit. I created an item on the igHome's Topic Bar, with one click it opens Windows Seven Forums, to a full screen view, I'm already logged-in, all I need do is click on My Posts Or Search. I can find what ever I'm looking for on the Windows Seven Forums quick and easy.

Thank you for steering me along. I like this Forum. :)

Good to hear. What you did sounds like the same thing I've done using the favorites bar in IE10 and doing what I said in post #6.

    Not my link in igHome.

I have an icon on the Black Bar in igHome that says "Window Seven Forums". To create it I clicked on Theme > Black Bar > Item 7. In the link field for item 7 I entered https://www.sevenforums.com/php?searchid=437404

I have browser set to open to igHome. When I open my browse igHome opens. If I click on the Black Bar button for Windows Seven Forums, Windows Seven Forums opens, and if I'm already logged in my account opens. Life is good.

I've never dabbled in gadgets, but you might find your anser in these two pages:
Developing a Gadget for Windows Sidebar Part 1: The Basics (Windows)
Gadgets: Build Your Own Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget

    Good luck and have fun!

    KC
I would like to see a link to this ighome to see what it's about.:)
igHome can be found here www.igHome.com.

So far I have found the features in igHome similar to iGoogle. I have created tabs to pages where I added gadgets. I found this feature similar to iGoogle and the selection of gadgets as comprehensive as in iGoogle. Also, I setup a Theme. I use three columns and a solid black background. Its clean but my girlfriend hates it. She wants the background to have an aesthetic quality like the sun shinning on the Beach did in iGoogle. igHome provides the capability to add a custom background. Maybe I will win her heart by creating an aesthetic effect better than the one we had in iGoogle.

I find igHome similar to iGoogle. Its easy to configure and executes efficiently. For instance, I created a bar menu with custom buttons that link to Gmail, Maps, or Windows Seven Forums. But there are things that I'm trying out for the first time. They may have been available in iGoogle, I don't know

Rule 14) No ad blocking discussions. This site depends on ads to pay for the costs of running and maintaining it.
