PDF receiced by Hotmail is corrupt, but not by ISP.

    PDF receiced by Hotmail is corrupt, but not by ISP.


    My power supplier had a message for me in my account on its website in PDF format. With the supplier I use my Hotmail account. I clicked on the link and downloaded the file to my desktop, but it would not open as it was corrupt.

    I then logged in using my secondary address "xx@yyy.myisp.com", clicked the link and the message appeared without any problem.

    Any idea why that should be? Please!

    The file might have got corrupted during download. Try your Hotmail account again and download a fresh copy of the PDF file and see if that opens.

    Yes, but more than one retry have had the same outcome, so I have reversed the priorities of my contact emails, as I feel Hotmail could be the culprit.
