    Sure, why not.
Does an uninstall affect one's global settings with Adobe Flash or is that stored with a cookie?

    Think that's all stored here:

    C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia

Not sure if the uninstallation of flash affects the settings of the web panel at all or not.

Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel

I spent six hours off and on last night trying to install the updated version for my XP.
The page would load and IE8 would not keep the page open or would lock up.
Twice it gave me a download of the OLD version.
    Uninstall again!!!!!
Opened Taskmanager when it would lockup and it had two Adobe pages running.

I found your link above and had it installed in less than five minutes including reading the page.

AIRBOT you were a life/computer saver.

That page was hard to find when I found it for myself long ago, but I keep it bookmarked. Just easier to get them both direct from there. :)

Just look at this thread. I'm starting to think maybe Apple is right. Maybe Flash really is just too big, too unstable, and too big of a pain in the butt to be worth it. Sigh.
