I think we should rename Airbot to Flashbot since he is so quick with updates.

    Hi Gents
About a week ago I went on line to read the news on BBC News and found I could no longer play the video items. I currently run IE9 on a system running Win7 Utimate 64bit.

A message was telling me I was running the wrong ver of Flash Player, I used the connection to Adobe, followed instructions, uninstalled my current version and installed ver 11.2.202.235 and tried again.

I got the same message, after three attemps making sure to select the 64bit option for IE still the same problem. I decided to down load plus the Google Chrome and strange but true the BBC worked find using Chrome.

Now call me old fashioned if you like but I like to decide what I use and run on my PC and IE has served me very well over the years and I want to continue using it.

Can someone please advise me how to rectify this situation.

    Best regards Ken

While you have the x64 Operating System, I suspect you are using the x86 (32 bit) IE, which is the default. You want to update both versions. Chrome uses it's own flash plugin, so it is updated with chrome. A Guy

Many thanks you were correct but I can't help wondering why it was working before.

Any way on with the battle I located IE 64bit ver, down loaded but it would not install as it stated I had a newer version installed

Having done a bit more exploring I found an interesting bit of conflict.

When I go to control and Internet Options under the program tab is this message "Internet Explorer (64bit) cannot be the default browser"

However when I go to Tools on the browser that message is not showing.

I'm having a lot of problems with this adobe flash player. It keeps crashing when I try to watch videos online in Chrome/IE/mozilla.

I am still suffering, this is the version loaded:
    Ver 9.0.8112.16421
    Update Version 9.0.6 (KB2675157)

I am worried about removing my current version as I have a lot of favourites and many relate to suppliers so I do not want to lose them.

However I now find I am unable to upload pics on my web site which is now a big problem, any help resolving this Flash software problem would be very gratefully received.
