    I can't load videos either

Videos on CNN no longer play in either Firefox 3.5 and Internet Explorer 8. I have the Windows 7 RC and this is totally frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried uninstalling an reinstalling Flash many times and also did the same for Silverlight.
    Thank you.

This is driving me NUTS . Me got 7600 and Firefox 3.5.3 and i absolutely cannot run flash player (or whatever it is) for peanuts.

I tried to run MS e-learning and it kept on saying do not have the required Macromedia Flash Player plug-in installed with your web browser.

    What's doing?

If FF is your default browser have you got the latest Flash installed on it - you need it installed in FF as well as IE? The Microsoft e-learning would, I'd imagine, use Internet Explorer by default and if you have a 64-bit system you would have to make the 32-bit IE the default browser and ensure Flash is installed on it as Flash doesn't work yet in 64-bit IE. There are shortcuts to both in your Start/All Programs.

I would've used IE however i removed it becos there are some work apps that won't work with it yet. I followed the prompts and install 10x what is recommended by MS e-learning and it seem to install fine however the adobe page kept on appearing.

You can't uninstall IE, it's part of the system! (Unless you got one of those special EU castrated systems). If you mean you uninstalled the latest version of it, then you've rendered the system unsafe as it should be kept up to date at all times. Many applications rely on a working Internet Explorer set to its default settings, and often use it in the background without you even knowing about it, so I would go to Windows Update and install anything it offers, critical or otherwise.

Did you install the Flash player specifically for other browsers as the default Flash download is only for IE. See the thumbnail attached (click to enlarge).

As I said, I would imagine that Microft E-Learning uses IE by default.

I just read this under System Requirements for one e-learning course advertised at Microsoft.

    System Requirements

To view this course, you need:

    • A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
    • Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
    • Macromedia Flash 7.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to install)
    • Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
    • Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
    • A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
    • A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
    • Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
For courses containing Virtual Server-based labs (courses in the IT Professional and Developer Catalog), you will need:

    • Microsoft Virtual Server ActiveX control (1MB disk space needed to install)
Test your computer's capabilities to see if it supports this course.

I cannot recall seeing that option when installing Flash Player. Can u give me a link for that install?

About removing IE8, I'm not sure where it is now but it's no longer on my Win 7 Install. This is what i did to it.
How do I uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8?

lol that would be right about their own websites. So are you saying it's not that i have not installed Flash, rather e-learning isn't working with FF?
