Strange. I went on a Flash powered YouTube clip and right clicked the vid and then selected 'about' to check flash version. It says current is 11.8.800.174 from their site and not .175. I am running windows 7 ultimate with IE10 (Mozilla also installed but never used) and have .174

That is strange, there was a .175 version, I even updated to it the other day but it claims I am running .174 after checking it just now...

I think it is something screwy with Adobe Flash updates.
    Read more at:
Adobe Community: 9/19/2013 - Flash Player 11.8 Release Announcement
Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.175 Released for Download

When I look at this page, 175 is shown as the latest IE ActiveX version:
Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe

When I look at this page from IE 10, it shows I have 175 and 174 is the latest version:
    https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Maybe they're not confident in the bug fix and waiting for more feedback ???

Maybe they had too much to drink at lunch and forgot what they were doing. After all it was a Friday.

Do people think flash player performance has gotten worse over time. Ever since about 11.4 ish I find it ever so slightly choppy. It's hard to detect but it's there. Noticed this on both our home laptops and the work PC all running latest version. Notably an older much lower spec machine still running 11.2 seems butter smooth. Updates huh! Invariably they make things worse whether it be windows updates, iTunes and ios. I don't like the constant need to update and change for sake of change especially when one can't trust what's coming down the pipe!

If you have hardware acceleration enabled in your browser(s), that has been known to cause choppy Flash playback.

I had updated to this Flash earlier. May have corrected the Youtube starting muted as it works for me now...at least for now. A Guy
