Yesterday was reading the article posted from forum member A Guy: 3 ways to make Adobe Flash less annoying and/or risky and how to get rid of the Flash Player or only Click to Play in the browser parameter.

So you would rather companies leave their software unpatched for a while after a security hole is found, leaving your computer vulnerable to attack instead fixing the new threat as quickly as possible? I would much rather deal with the annoyance of frequent updates than leaving my computer unprotected. Keep in mind most of these programs, which run on very complex OSes, have very complex coding and it is difficult to impossible to avoid the errors and oversights that cause the security holes.

Keep in mind that there are thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands, or more, of possible hardware configurations that programs have to be compatible with and there is no way any developer can anticipate all of them so there are bound to be problems slipping through the cracks. Still, I agree MS has been having more than usual updates that cause problems lately.

However, the deliberate ad/nagware MS has been ramming down our throats is a "whole nuther story".

I often can't watch embedded YouTube videos full screen. When I run into that, I just click on the direct link to YouTube.
