Or you could just do this... Latest Version of Adobe Flash Player

And as been mentioned, Flash will not even install on a 64-bit browser, thus the failed installs. It will install on the 32-bit version!
It was not installing in the 32 bit IE 8 browser, not at all. Windows 7 would not let me download Firefox or Opera either. After hours of trying every fix on this and other threads, I went with Google Chrome. I can download and use everything (Facebook & YouTube, Netflix too) through Google Chrome - no freezing, crashing, or slowing.

The computer we bought was this one from eMachines - eME627-5583. A simple laptop for my daughter. I just wanted to offer this as an option to anyone who is tired of fighting the "IE 8 64 and 32 bit -vs- Windows 7 -vs- Adobe Flash wars". :)

If Flash won't install in the 32-bit edition of IE, and if Windows won't let you download Firefox or Opera, then you have a bigger problem. In short something is wrong with the machine.

Hey everyone, I found some cool stuff about Flash Player 10.1 beta; it now runs off of the GPU to run flash elements which makes watching HD videos even better! Check out this site to learn more:

    FLAWLESS FLASH VIDEO

I've downloaded it, and I've noticed a big change in my watching HD videos.

Somewhat old news, was first announced in the summer of last year and works on both compatible ATI and Nvidia cards as long as the support is in the drivers (and don't ask when both added the support, but was sometime in the fall).

My bad, I just found out about it on nVidia's site, so I thought it was new.

Just had a quick look through the entire thread and haven't seen this so here goes.

I have Flash installed and working OK on here version 10.0.45.2, the latest, it lists that version in Add/Remove or I should say Programs and Features and Secunia PSI tells me I have that version.

If I have IE8 open and click on Tools, then Manage Add-ons the version listed there is the old one 10.0.42.34, I thought when first seeing this something must be wrong so I got the removal tool from Adobe and removed all versions of Flash from the machine and download the latest version from their site which installed and when tested told me I had the latest version and it was working, but it's still showing the older version in the Add-ons.

    Anyone got any answers
