    Web page won't load

I use Verizon “My Yahoo” as my home page. I have it customized the way I like, but a few weeks ago parts of it stopped working. The links, which open a new page, work fine. However, the tabs, which take me to a new part of the same page, get a spinning wheel and never seem to load. The odd thing is that the very same page works fine on my husband’s computer.
I have deleted cookies, browsing history, etc. and reset IE to default settings. I also disabled all add-ons and used Microsoft’s Fixit tool. Nothing helped.
Does anyone else have these problems or a solution? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I did what you suggested but it didn't work. The really odd thing about the web page is that some parts of it work just fine but other parts won't even load. Is there anything else I can try?

Instead of going through Verizon, click on the page link here:

Tried that but it didn't work either. However, your reply gave me an idea. I tried using Chrome instead of IE and it works just fine. Could something be wrong with my IE software?

Finally found the problem with help from Tech Support Guy. It was a compatibility issue and unchecking two boxes fixed it. The page loads perfectly now.

Share the settings you changed so others may benefit?

If a web page won't load right, try one of these:

IE > Tools > Compatibility View Settings. A window will open with one large box and two little ones. If the little ones are checked, uncheck them. If they are not checked, check them. Try loading the problem web page again.

    OR

Enter the name of the problem website in the large box labeled "Websites you've added to Compatibility View".

I got this advice from two other forums (Dave's Computer Tips and Tech Support Guy) and both seem to work.

OK, we know about compatibility mode, but you said the site was working before. Either they changed something, or you did (an update, change to newer version of IE). Thanks for sharing. A Guy

I believe the problem occurred after one of the last three Microsoft updates. The gadgets on my desktop were also affected in that one disappeared and another changed color and transparency. I couldn't fix either. Thanks for your reply.
