Email client without 'powder blue' ?
EDIT: So I found this thread that provides one solution
How to get rid of system wide blue
but the resulting theme is kind of Windows 3.1 style, very blocky, rectangular, sharp window edges. Still seems that there must be a theme that gets rid of that gawd awful baby blue (what were the designers at Redmond thinking putting that baby powder blue color in every gui?!?)
Is there some way to get an email client for windows 7 that does not have the ubiquitous powder (sky) blue color as part of the GUI interface, other than my going with a 3rd party product like Windowblinds? My biggest complaint of Windows is that powder blue that seems to be pervasive in the GUI interfaces. I have an Aero theme running now that works pretty good, no powder blue in Firefox, word processor, etc., but Mozilla Thunderbird still shows that powder blue in the left panel (Inbox, etc) even when I activate themes for Thunderbird. I can get Windowblinds if needed, just wish there was some way to get an email client without the powder blue. I tried Claws email, same issue but the powder blue shows in the menubar with Claws. I would even be willing to use a hex editor to hack whatever file needs hacking and find the code that creates that powder blue and change it to some more generic light silvery/white gray.
On a side note, I have been doing dual boot linux/Windows but I have had it with linux. I love the linux "X" interface and clean GUIs (without powder blue!), but I am just tired of linux always 'breaking' and wasting days of my time to fix it. I am just going to stick with Windows 7 and learn to love it, hack it to serve my needs, secure it-- hopefully all with the help of kind folks on this forum.
