    Favorite link icons

    Hello.
I have changed my motherboard/cpu/ram as old pc was having problems.
I kept the same hard drive but clean reinstalled windows on it. In IE8 i copied my favorites from a backup and put then into the favorite folder. When i try to use any of my saved favorites i hover the mouse over the link and all the icons are the same IE icon. On the pld pc i like a preview icon on all the links but not now.
If i click a link and then go back to that link later the icon has changed to what it was like on the old pc.
I have over 1000 saved links and i dont want to go to every one click on it to get different icon.
Is there a quicker way of doing this please.

I believe that you will have to wait till you visit a site/all saved sites to restore all your favicons.
    Could be wrong though.

I had problems with an old motherboard that kept freezing and not starting from cold start and i had a tread going on here about it. It was the usb ports that were the problem.
On the old pc i tried to import the favs into the old pc from the backup i made but only half the favs were copied for some reason. What i did was copied the favs from the backup hard drive and pasted them to a usb stick and then when i got the new motherboard como i reinstalled windows and copied from the usb to the favorites folder in the users folder.
At the moment i cant use the ide back up hard drive as the new motherboard hasn't got a ide socket and i am waiting for a convertor to arrive so i cant get a html copy yet from there.
