IE10 - Switching between tabs not working when fullscreen

I'm having this weird issue with IE10 where when I have multiple tabs open, it will stop allowing me to switch between tabs. The address in the bar will change but the main part of the window where the webpage displays doesn't change and keeps showing the same page. It's quite inconsistent as well, as sometimes switching to a certain tab will work but then after switching to another tab, the previous one won't work.

However, I if click on the Full-screen button in the top-right to take it out of full-screen, it gets it out of this state and it works normally for all tabs but as soon as I switch it back to full-screen, it starts happening again.

I don't seem to have a problem with any other programs and multiple tabs in Iron Portable are working fine for instance so I could just not use IE but I'd rather not ignore bugs, even if only so that I have an idea how to fix them if I run into them in future.

Try using the F11 key Instead of the full screen box symbol to toggle in or out of Full screen mode,
Ctrl+Tabs key will shift through open Tabs as well see if it works.

Nope, that doesn't make a difference I'm afraid.

IE is also locking up on certain webpages. For example, if I go here Trace Windows 7 boot/shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume issues - Page 43 - Windows 7 - MSFN Forum the tab stops responding (can't scroll, copy, click on buttons) as soon as it opens and then eventually says it's stopped responding and do I want to recover it.

    That is weird,
I started a new session and quickly shifted to ie8 Document standards and everything was doing okay,
I was directed to the top of the page after but just had to scroll down to the post your linking to,
Which I believe it's the script the site uses to share posts with and they also have a flag that signing in is required to have additional features mostly pointing to contributing to the sites forums but it might also be restricting non users from accessing content ?
If you go to the start of the thread it does not freeze even using document mode at the site default which is ie10 standards or which ever version of ie installed,
