    Internet Explorer


    a few years ago I came in and someone gave me instructions on how to turn off my IE, but would like to turn it back on. can you plz tell me how I do this. I know its someplace in my control panel.

    I don't know what you mean by "turned off" but if you want to run IE, just type Internet Explorer in the caption box; ie, click the Start orb and type in Internet Explorer and select the top entry from the populated list.

    at the time I didn't want to use IE so I came in and asked if there was a way to turn it off and I got instructions on how to do it.

    I have my tools, favorites and so on showing now, but the browser is not there. I have Bing for home page and its only showing the bing browser

    Hi Lila,

    You can turn IE back on in
    Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off

    checked in the area you suggested to turn windows features on of off. the ie 10 has a check mark in it, but am not seeing the browser. screen shot below of what I see..only google browser.

    Click on Help / About in the browser you have in the screen print.

    That looks like IE with a Google page in the address bar and Google as the search engine.

    yes only google search showing but how do get ie search back...confused here sorry

    What version of IE are you using?

    I have IE11 and this is what it looks like with a Bing page and Bing search provider.
    (there is only 1 box for the address bar and search bar)

    Bing is the Microsoft Search engine.
    I don't know what "ie search" is.
