    Trusted sites greyed out

I have tried everything I can see on the forums to get acces to the trusted sites list to add another site.
The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings only has a: Default REG-SZ Value not set, nothing else in that field. I obviously have admin rights and even started IE9 as admin. I used Local Group Policy Editor to check User config/Windows settings/Internet explorer Maintenance/Security and ensured that Do not customize ... is ticked. All to no avail.
Anybody can help with this, I would really appreciate. I cannot log on to my bank any more, as they have changed sites.

Why do you believe you need to add sites to your safe sites list ?
You didn't say which version of Internet explorer your using,
    Gear symbol and About ie,
Post which third party security suite you have installed,
Set your time with internet time,
Export Favorites to html file before resetting Internet explorer/ just to be safe.

Accessing Internet Options from the Start menu search,
Reset process first opening Internet explorer

Turn Internet explorer off and boot when prompted then turn ie back on,

You can also try creating a new user account and test,

If the issue does not occur in new user account then refer the following link to fix the corrupted user account.

    Hello Hans,

It sounds like you already checked this below.

Please go ahead and post a screenshot showing what is grayed out to see if it may help to ID what it may have been from.
