Save emails as PDF, what email client

I am currently using "PostBox" a fork of "Thunderbird" and would like to save some emails as PDF.

My last experience (circa) 1998 with Thunderbird was very unstable, so I used fax up until about 2007. Now Thunderbird is in "suspension" .
PostBox is a simple desktop email client with no active support other than through MozillaZine (which is very active).

My current free PDF app PDF-Xchange advise to use Outlook. Their pro version will save Outlook emails as PDF

Experimenting I saved an email as HTML file then free on-line PDF24 converter converted the EML file to PDF.
But I am hoping for fewer steps if possible)

But then I have discovered "Outlook 2012" that only comes with MS Office

Maybe its time I returned to a Microsoft email desktop app , but I do not know where to start.
I do not want cloud based email-app (Windows Live Mail was very slow) and I want to be able to create emails off-line.

Just discovered the existence of Outlook 2007, 2010, 2012.
But where to download ? (Other than CNet)

There is no free version of Outlook. If you just want to "Print to pdf" (does not print out on paper, saves to .pdf file)

I was hoping to save an email (including images) as a PDF file.
But it looks like only commercial versions might do it. A lot of coin for infrequent use. (eg, PDF-XChange)

Presently I save emails as HTML > open in Firefox > and print the HTML page to PDF with Addon Print pages to PDF
Text is OCR'd into a PDF file, BUT images are not "saved".

Am playing with PDF24 now

The pdf printers will save to pdf whatever is viewable on the screen at the moment, just as printing a page to paper would. Might try one and see if it won't work. I have a version or Nova Pdf that I won in a giveaway, it will print whatever to pdf files, including text, images, etc.

PDF24 has multiple apps, all free, still reading it all to take it in.
Trying to figure out which PDF24 app will print the active email to PDF
It looks like PDF24 offers various apps whereas "PDF-XChange" is all in one ... and huge. and not cheap.
... and PDF24 might replace "PDF-XChange" (The latter in its free version is a very good program. Far more versatile than free Adobe)

Web pages or email page ?

"Print Tab to PDF" (addon) in browser, does a fine job
emails are my problem.
mozilla email clients (Thunderbird and PostBox) do not accept "Print Tab to PDF" as an addon
Just occasionally the odd email disappears, even had the same problem with "Windows Live Mail"

There is no obvious "Free" version



All downloads are free ....!

Main downloads are all CNet (hiding behind Downloads.com)
Downloaded "InternationalPrimoPDF.exe" (ie, "Download Free")
VirusTotal result:= contains adware/spyware "OpenCandy"



- I have been caught previously with OpenCandy and no option-out.
- a very stubborn pest to remove

There are few "email to PDF" converters/apps but none so far capture images on email.

PDF-Creator (by PDF24) captures text only on emails, it does not capture images.
I just tried it. Atleast it captures text content, which gets me closer to my goal.

I have downloaded primo pdf before and watched as it downloaded and unchecked anything else but primo pdf
But this was from there site not from download.com, oh well
