No, it is not greyed out.

My extensions are: RoboForm 7.9.2.5, Bookmarks Button 1.2, Google Dictionary (by Google) 3.0.21, Google Translate 1.2.5, New Tab, New Window 3.0, PageRank Status 8.6.0.0, qSnap: Screen Capture, Screenshot, Annotation 1.3.0.0

I have just installed Chrome 2 days ago.

Please uninstall all extensions. Now install Google Dictionary only. Does it work?

Mmm. Thats perplexing. I would have put money on it being one extension conflicting with the others, hence the request to only install one and see if it works.

I'll have to do some research and get back to you on this.

    Try manually deleting their directories.

Have you tried a new Windows user/test account/profile?

If links fail in that test account, then...
    ...uninstall ESET
    ...restart the computer
    ...log onto your normal account
...delete that test account (and its files)
    ...create a fresh test account
...log on to that test account
...install Chrome, one extension and test links.

A post i pulled from the google forums, "you have to go to Control Panel on your computer and Uninstall the damn thing called Default Tab then go to chrome settings and extensions and delete it there, then restart your computer"

I was able to add each of those to the same version of Chrome without any conflicts.

We are probably on the right path with your question. My PC is probably missing an element needed to render Chrome extensions properly. Here are the screenshots.
