It only listens because you tell it to. So many people against Chrome. If you know what you're doing you can configure Chrome so that it can't listen, won't collect data, and can be the fastest, safest, most stable browser on the market. I've been using it since it came out (along with FF, Maxthon, IE, and whatever else is out there), and I have never had one issue with with any browser doing something I didn't want it to. My security and privacy have never been compromised. Not that it matters since I do nothing bad, or do any type of things that would be bad if someone knew what I was doing. I consider simply being online that all I do is not 100% private. If you're truly worried about privacy/security, and don't know how to configure your browser, then disconnect, and stay offline. It's as simple as that.
