Glad to hear that. I'm not a big fan of Live Mail although I'll try it again sometime.

That probably explains the mystery of my installation. I have ownership of all the files in the OS.- Makes it easier for testing.
Anyway. I have finally dumped it. insurmountable graphic problems for the moment in my expensive computer. I've run out of budget to upgrade any hardware (yet again) so I'll have to hang loose for a while until something better occurs.
Took 2 tries, but I got it to work.

I have just tried to set windows mail as the default program for .eml extension. W7 won't allow me to do that. When I browse for a program and select winmail.exe, it is not loaded into the list to select.
Anyone else tried this? The workaround is to drag the file into inbox which will then open.

hi all i have dual boot and have my mail folder set on a different drive so which ever system i have booted into i can access the mail.
so i have been able to get mail working in win7 so thought i would use the same mail folder which worked ok
until i booted back into vista where i found mail would no longer work.
so just thought i would post here so someone else doesn't get caught
cheers brad
