An annoyance - Bing search engine

Bing has hijacked my opening page & tabs. I cannot seem to kill it. Can some one guide me to get my google search page back on top please.

I'm using chrome. which I know little about compared to FF.

    thanks

    Step 1
Select the "Chrome Menu" icon resembling three horizontal lines and select "Settings."
    Step 2
Select "Google" in the "Search" section. If, for some reason, Google does not dislay, click "Manage Search Engines" and select "Google" from the list of available options.
    Step 3
Close the "Settings" window and then restart the browser.

Also, make sure that Bing is not set in IE as your 'default' search provider.

Done 1 to 4. Still there when i open a 'NEW TAB'.

The infection is in Settings > Appearance > 'Show home button'. I change it to google.com. But as soon as i reopen settings its still there.

Did you click on the Change next to New tab?

Have you tried uninstalling Bing using Control Panel -> Programs and Features?
    or
Uninstalling the Bing Windows Update (WU)?

I'm not certain how the WU might affect browsers because I hide Bing updates and never install them. This is just a guess on my part.

Here is the nasty thing - changing link add to google doesn't work. It still 'owns' new tabs.

    Ah! Bing hasn't hijacked anything

    Trovigo has...

Follow this guide: How to remove Trovigo.com redirect (Virus Removal Guide)

edit: Please post the logs from all of the scans here on SevenForums (SF) so that members on the Security team can determine if additional cleaning needs to be performed.

    Thanks
