Hello, normally with ie, you can't turn off the security warning that you get when opening a downloaded apps (exe/msi files) BUT i thought it may be different with version 11..?

    Hi,
I'm sure that's a full can of worms,
How would one isolate which files are good and bad and when they run ?
Any malicious file would have a field day on users machines
    Cheers.

    Hi,
I would say my reply was a response to your question,
Answers are a different animal which you have the ability to say which is which,
But we all start out replying to questions
    Cheers.

This is just the usual warning when opening a downloaded executive that's not signed (by Microsoft I guess)..

    Hi,
You haven't given any examples of programs so it's tough to say one way or another ?
    Cheers.

No. IE11 is not different in that respect. I don't know of a way to prevent IE from adding the alternate data stream (ADS) to certain files. Other browsers are also starting to include this security feature, so you are headed in the wrong direction by not wanting this. Question: Do you have the User Account Control turned on?

There are plenty of tools out there that will let you remove the ADS after a file has been downloaded, but I've not seen one (not that I looked very hard) that will prevent browsers from adding it in the first place.
