Corrupt Windows ie 11 due to itunes install

    Hi, can you please advise

I installed itunes on our windows 7 dell laptop.

However, it has caused our IE 11 to open up but then close with "internet not responding"

So my remedies have been :-

I have deleted all itunes installations

    I have reset IE

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE via windows

I have reinstalled IE via internet

Did try to reregister the following dlls

    Mshtml.dll
    Shod cvs.dll
    Browseui.dll
    Msjava.dll

But all return an error "dll register server not found"

We can get to IE through outlook,(tho we get script errors)but still cannot boot up IE from icon

Please help as thoroughly exhausted all my route !!!!

Until one of the experts here can respond, I can tell you what I found out when I had a similar problem. While you are waiting, you might want to see if this helps.

Apple (itunes) and windows don't always get along. In my case itunes installed Bonjour Service. This is what caused my internet connection to fail. However, it was not easy to track down. Believe it or not, on my computer it goes by the following name: ##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##.

So I went into my Windows 7 > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tasks > Services and changed the Bonjour Service ( ##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##) from automatic (default) to Manual. On reboot my internet connection worked. I have left the Bonjour Service permanently set to Manual and have not had a repeat of the problem.

Maybe this will help until someone who really knows answers your question...

    Thanks akjudge

Did a system restore, and that seems to have cracked my problem.

Wasn't keen on installing the itunes in the first place ( had to due to faulty iPhone) now so against ever doing it again.

    Thanks h
