Hotmail Watcher 2.13 not working since FF 28

I had downloaded Sonthakit's Add On "Hotmail Watcher" so my "outlook.com" would alert me to new emails. I was using FF27.0.1 at the time, it worked great, then I noticed after FF updated to 28 it no longer functioned. I read Sonthakit had a problem with his add ons before when mozilla would do an update. Anyway, I was going to go back down to 27.0.1 the last known version I had when it was working. When it was working Mailto was set to live.mail that's actually what hotmail and outlook.com need to be set to in mailto.

Will I have to uninstall 28, copy my profile so I don't lose my passwords, or can I just install 27 over 28 and not lose my passwords. Don't have anything in in my favorites, computer is new, thus the no favs yet. Or, has anyone else been having this problem and found a way to get HW 2.13 to work on V28.

    Thanks

It is working just fine for me on Firefox 28. I use a Program called Mozbackup 1.5.1. Or you can use FEBE to backup your profile or anything you want to save. In Your case I would remove Fx27 totally from your PC and start with a new profile.

It is set to .outlook.com , if you use live.com it will not work.

Ok Gary, well I was told to use "Use Live Mail" in mailto. I had to go to about:config>gecko and change the value of a register key. How did you get .outlook.com in mailto?

Interesting, "Use Live Mail" was working Hmmm. I made the changes above a few months ago following instruction I found on the web. If you could give me a somewhat detailed way to get it (.outlook.com) into mailto that would be great. I really liked it when it was working. 27 is totally gone and 28 is working just fine.

    Thank's

I am must be missing something here. First are you using outlook.com formally hotmail as your default? If so are you able to use Hotmail Watcher to notify you when you have mail?

"I don't I have it set in the options in HotmailWatcher" Exactyl what do you have it set to in options>Hotmail Watcher...

I was wrong, it automatically finds your Outlook.com user name and PW. This will not work if you are using Windows Live mail that is a program on your PC.
