If you want and trust it, we could use teamviewer to see what is going on but that would be up to you.

    I'm OK with TeamViewer

Sorry, Andrew, for my delay but I've been swamped. TeamViewer came bundled with this new computer although I've never used it. Please tell me what to do, and I promise I'll be more prompt. I'm most grateful for your continued interest.

Ok, PM me your teamviewer code with a time and date that is best for you and I can see what I can do.

Once this is done, I will then post the results on this forum so this way it can still benefit others who have landed on this thread.

    Deal?

Sorry, but I don't recognize the abbreviation "PM." If you meant "IM," I don't use instant messaging, but you should be able to reach me by phone at no charge by clicking the graphic at membercontact. (Or I could call you.) Also, TeamViewer wants me to give you both my ID and my password. I'll reply with one or the other as you direct--or I could give them to you on the phone.

I'm almost always available between 10 and 11:30 am PT, but I'll make myself available at another time at your convenience. It's best in any case if I can know when to expect to hear from you.

Ok, the teamviewer session ended and this was what was done:

1.) Downloaded reg key to disable the previews.
2.) Used windows 7 basic theme since they did not have a reason or want aero.
3.) Let them know with aero enabled performance would be improved, but with aero on the possibility is there that the live taskbar previews could still show if the mouse hovers for to long on the taskbar.

The reg key works by adding a longer wait time for the mouse hover over the taskbar.

See this tutorial on how to disable it:
