    problem with google chrome


    hi
    when i click on google chrome it always asks for admin password it happened after i used the troubleshoot tool as google chrome was not opening.
    And when i download a file ect as i click on open file location nothing happens. but on my admin account it works ok

    that's normal .. if ur a standard user ..then it will ask you for a admin password when you open chrome ..and if your an admin (user) then it doesn't ask for the password

    thank for the reply
    before i did the the troubleshoot Compatibility it was opening without asking for the admin password. is there anyway of changing this

    Try this:

    Right click the Chrome icon> Properties> Compatibility> Uncheck Run this program as administrator

    when i clicked on to uncheck the run as administrator its not highlighted so i cant uncheck it

    Where is the shortcut? Pinned to taskbar, on the desktop, start menu? Perhaps delete it and create a new one by right clicking on chrome.exe in the installation folder (Program Files(x86)?), see if the new shortcut has the option clickable. A Guy

    hi
    i had the shortcut pinned to the taskbar so i removed it then i found the chrome.exe but not in programs x86. it has the admin password symbol on the chrome logo
