it all depends on what you want to do, just IM or video chat?
if its just im then ym, if video chat then skype

yeah..i also think skype is better..
but why when i share a bigger file, i mean about 7Gb, my laptop become slower after it done share?
this is suck..i need to restart my laptop to make it "ok" again..
it drive me crazy~~

Skype is definitely better, especially if you want to do video calls. Even if you don't, file transfers are much smoother with skype, and IMing is pretty smooth as well.

I prefer IMing on yahoo, just because I have an easier time picking out what each of us is saying in the chat box, but that's all I use it for. Everything else I do on skype. I have always had problems with video and file sharing on yahoo, never skype.
