    Error ID: 0x80048820 Hotmail failing

    Over the past few day I have experienced intermittant failings in sending and receiving emails via various Hotmail accounts. The follow show the problems;

    Error ID: 0x80048820 Hotmail failing-hotmail-fail-1.jpg Error ID: 0x80048820 Hotmail failing-hotmail-fail-2.jpg

    I have no idea where to start to try and resolve this frustrating problem.

    I did carry out a 'successful repair' to Windows Essentials 2012, but even after doing that, the problem remains. At times, trying to Send/Receive emails, also shows Error ID: 0x80048849

    Questions:
    If I uninstall Windows Essentials, reboot the laptop and then reinstall that program, am I likely to lose all current emails?
    Or another thought is to try and download just the Mail element of Windows Essentials 2012, and install it over the top ... will that work?

    Using POP and SMTP solves the send and receive problem for email messages, but doesn't help with contact or calendar syncing. We need to fix the problem with the delta sync server in order to use the main feature WLM has over other email clients. That's a valuable feature even if WLM is only used to access non-Microsoft mail servers via POP/SMTP or IMAP.
