    Installing IE 11

Any benefit to installing IE 11 opposed to IE 10?
This is primarily for my niece's machine. Randomly her browser will change from IE 10 to IE 11, yet she claims she does not select it during Windows Update. I don't seem to have that problem - settings on both machines are set to 'my choice in installing new updates'.

I've read pros and cons regarding the newer version that's why I hesitate to install it.

I have personally chosen to remain with IE 10 because of issues with Gadgets (rendering with other than 100% text size) and Adobe Flash crashing IE (on my two systems) when using IE 11.

These issues also occur, for me, using Windows 8.1 as well.

    Hi,
I'll second ie10 as a more stable version but 11 is gradually improving,
    Benefits ?
Well according to Microsoft you'd be advised to use the most resent version,
But according to Microsoft we should all ditch win-7 for win-8.1

Newest versions are always a bit buggy that's just the reality,

As long as the windows update setting exclude Recommended updates to load as Important ones do you shouldn't have any issues with ie11 auto loading,
But in the past Microsoft has snuck ie10 and 9 to a Important update so you really do have to review all updates before you load them,
Most Importantly is the setting to check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them
    Key words in Bold
As long as you monitor and check for updates every Wednesday morning you'll/ she'll be fine,
    Cheers.
