    "View applied"

The status bar for my Windows Live Mail carries what seems to be a permanent message, "View applied." What does this mean? And is there any way of removing it from the status bar?

WLM has many View options (Show all messages, Hide read messages, etc.). See what View is set

Change the way Windows Mail looks

    That's not my question

Thanks, A Guy, but I'm familiar with WLM views. My question relates to what appears to be the permanent message in the status bar.

(Clarification: That message seems to be at my inbox only.)

Thanks, ThrashZone, but that link is not in point. I have no trouble accessing my emails. My only concern is why the "View is applied" statement continually appears in my inbox status bar. It's not a world-shaking issue, but I see no purpose to the statement and would like to eliminate it if possible.

    Hi,
The Answers site is the only one I know of that user feedback might be seen by Microsoft,
I would suggest asking there and post a screen shot of the message your seeing,

You can also post the screen shot here incase someone that uses live mail might have the same issue and possibly a workaround or actual solution ?

I don't use live mail but that link came up on a search on your question so I posted it,
    Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I might post there when I have more time. As you can appreciate, the issue is not urgent, and I posted here on the assumption that a WLM user might know the answer. (I have posted with Microsoft Community in the past, and have been disappointed with the quality of the answers, even though coming mostly from paid employees. They seem to read the questions hurriedly and then apologize later for off-base replies. One of them—to whom that criticism doesn't apply—tells me the problem is with English proficiency.)

Hi usually an image of the problem says a thousand words,
But some live paid personnel can lack in comprehension translation
You never know someone here might know exactly how to deal with the issue ?
    Cheers.
