Spybot is adding it's own entries to the HOST file. In this case, to block sites it considers malicious
HOSTS File Entries
In doing so, it is likely also blocking something you use, whether malicious or not.
Welcome to Seven Forums banjobenny. I believe the last line of code is designed to delete the bat file after usage (normally it isn't needed multiple times). It wasn't designed to fix the resolving host error, but rather reset some items after an infection had hijacked them. HOSTs file, DNS server, Winsock, etc. It is the resetting of the DNS that made me suggest it in the first place. The HOSTs file reset turned out to be a lucky shot, as that has helped in some cases as well. You can certainly make copy(s) and save one to, documents, for instance. Only the bat file run would delete I believe.
