Windows Live Mail not fetching from Virgin Spam folder
I use WLM to handle a Virgin.net email account.
I have missed two very important customer emails, which has resulted in much awkwardness and wasted time.
When checking my Virgin account by webmail the missing emails were there, however for some reason had been diverted in to the spam folder ... possibly because they were new customers and the messages had attachments, so might have been treated as suspicious.
This has made me realise that WLM is not fetching any of the emails in my Spam folder for its own 'junk' folder.
When looking further I see there's been a few other emails that have slipped in to Spam in error.
Questions:
Does WLM ignore spam folders and this is normal?
If so, can it be altered so that the inevitable few messages that get put there can be retrieved?
If WLM does NOT ignore spam folders, why do I not see the contents of my webmail's spam folder in WLM's junk folder? It has had just 4 emails in it for a v long time, none normally added!
How can I ensure that I receive those spam emails reliably, and that this does not happen again?
This is VERY important as there are consequenses to me if something is missed.
