How to change my home page

Hello all, this is my first post on this forum . I recently bought a HP mini with windows 7 starter. I have been trying to change my startup page but no matter what I do it still come up in the msm homepage.
I go to internet options and change the address to the one I'm on. For some reason after I try and
change it it has no accept and ok button on the bottom. The only thing I can think of is you can't change
    it. Thx for any help.

I have 8 and its like day and night between the two.

    Thx Bob

Hello Bob, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Check to see if you may be able to change your home page in Internet Explorer using any of the options in the tutorial below. :)

Yeah it doesn't have the bottom part.

It also updates a real lot, and I had to set it so that it has to tell me if its ok to download, but when I shut it off
It will say something like don't turn if off 1 of 72 is downloading. I tried turning it off once and when I started it again it went to safe mode and started to check all the sectors on the hard drive. Its not much
of a portable computer if have to wait two hrs for it to download this . My speed is at 72mbs which I can
watch streaming video on so its not the connection.

    Bob,

The 1 or 72 sounds like it's downloading and installing Windows Updates. Do you have them all installed already?

Does dragging the Internet Options window up reveal the buttons if they may just be off screen?

    hp to nosy

The border of the window shows so nothing more can fit.
It looks like it does it with other things to, I tried to download printer drivers , after I customized it, it would not pull the page up so I could hit the download button.

This is a used computer that I just got for email on the road with WiFi locations around town. and its small enough to fit in my briefcase.

I didn't like all the info hp wanted to know so I guess I won't hook my printer up to it.

When I installed it on my Toshiba it loaded without asking any info

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
    Try using clean boot,
    Clean boot,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179159-troubleshoot-application-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html

Then see what your dpi is set on,
    Adjust dpi settings,

Should be set on the default 100%
