    Thanks for your help and knowledge :) too.
    I'm going to go ahead and try the portable Thunderbird since i wiped out the first downloaded TB that was rather questionable.

    personally i always copy important emails i never want to lose to a local data folder on MY PC.
    That way i have a copy, no matter what the email provider/server does.
    Tbird can save (copy) to a local folder, i expect any good email client program can do this.
