My opinion for what that is worth.
As long as you use or have IOBit products you will continue to have problems.
The problem is not getting rid of IOBit. The problem is repairing the damage it has caused.

I've been using iObit's Uninstaller for quite some time now and haven't had a single problem. Where you get this, aside from possibly personal experience, baffles me.

I think it is a collective knowledge/information flowing all over the forum, spoken by most of out long time trusted members. Some examples ....

I think it is our responsibility to guide the right practice to the people seeking help. Uninstalling ASC by iObit is on the top of that list. And, I would prefer (and recommend) to avoid a snake oil salesman like iObit.

Just to close this thread: I have resolved all problems with a clean reinstall. I fervently believe I bought this computer with a corrupted OS. The wisdom of a multitude of people in sevenforums got me through it and I am deeply grateful.

I will be avoiding all flavors of iObit in the future and cautiously stick with what I know: to wit, Avast (less all the bloatware - Shields only); Malwarebytes Pro, CCleaner and SuperAntiSpyware on demand.

My thanks to all who helped. X-reference: https://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/350748-bsod-bccode-4e-after-ie10-crash.html.

    Great news
Even ccleaner can be unforgiving if not used properly,
    CCleaner - Delete Junk Files

I agree ASC should be left alone for someone else to use
Cheers and great work Archie and of course GregRocker

I'm wondering what happened with Panda though very interesting might it of been a residual effect of all the other security's installed ?

I believe that's exactly what happened with Panda ... I had so many failed installs (Avira, Avast) that no doubt they left residual conflicting bits which interfered with Panda. I don't blame Panda ... think the corruption in the OS base install was the direct cause of all my troubles. Arc is steadfastly pushing MSE as my primary AV and I may well switch over to it once I feel this system is truly solid ... and only with a Macrium backup PRIOR to uninstalling Avast!

Thanks again for your help. When I grow up, I only hope I can learn half so much as you all can teach me.

    I personally use MSE,
But MSE comes with a catch you pretty much need the premium version of MBAM or Pro which I believe we already went though this recommended combo earlier,
As long as that is done yea mse is a good one to use,
    Cheers.

MSE is always the best one to use. :)

We, most of the BSOD guys, add MBAM with MSE because MBAM provides the best scanner, not for its real time protection. So the free version of MBAM would be enough.

MBAM is world's best scanner, but when the real time protection comes, it is as good as any other third party antivirus. A contributor to BSODs. None of them can control their AV products from chasing after visible performance, so the unnecessarily aggressive network and storage filtering, so the blockage, and so the BSODs.

Ignorance is not what stands in the way of advancing knowledge ... but rather, close-mindedness. You have (both) been quite clear and generous with your knowledge; far be it from me to cast that knowledge aside for the sake of sticking with what I know. Thus I will reformat and wipe this drive clean of all ambiguities once and for all. I will reinstall and pray to the M$ gods that all goes well (reactivation always scares me). And I will use MSE with MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware on demand, with a little CCleaner thrown in for good measure (in careful moderation of course).

All the best to you in all you do.

Well I have used this same combo for some 4-5 years and never a bsod
I do of course exclude themselves from scanning at the same time and each other

Real time protection with mbam is needed imho with mse as a choice
But if you do use mbam and sas as on demand scanners use them often
I do also have sas pro but it's just because I love the product and support the developer :)
    Cheers.
